About Jacinta:
I adopt an open, client centred and non-judgemental attitude in my work to provide a therapeutic space conducive to developing self awareness and supporting clients to achieve meaningful outcomes in terms of personal growth and well being.
I draw upon a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Schema therapy and Mindfulness. My approach is flexible and integrative and I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of the individual and their unique needs.
I work with clients with a range of presenting difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, psychosis, grief and loss, stress management, self-esteem and interpersonal difficulties. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in private sector and public mental health services, providing individual as well as group based therapeutic interventions across a variety of settings. I am passionate about my work and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development by regularly attending conferences, training’s and workshops.
