’Mindfulness for Life’ Course
If you’re like most, you probably spend a lot of time thinking about what’s
NOT happening in the moment: that is, ruminating about the past, or worrying about the future, instead of enjoying the beauty of the present moment. Indeed, research suggests that mind-wandering is the brain’s default mode. These default states are also associated with psychological disorders such as depression and anxiety. When practising Mindfulness, we practise being in an alternative “active” brain state.
The ‘Mindfulness for Life’ program is a 6 week practical course designed to help you develop the psychological skill of mindfulness. Through guided experiential and hands-on practice, you will be invited to engage with others whilst developing mindful awareness for use in day-to-day life.
‘ACT for Anxiety’ Course
Is anxiety interfering with you pursuing your goals, having meaningful friendships and relationships, or just simply being the person you
ideally want to be? The experience of anxiety can make us feel frustrated, powerless, and overwhelmed. Sometimes we may feel scared or distressed to the point that we start avoiding things in our life that make us feel anxious, even if they are important to us. The good news is, you can take back your life! You don’t need to let anxiety dictate who you are, what you do, or how you live. We would like to help you start living the life you want with our ‘ACT for Anxiety’ course.
‘ACT for Anxiety’ is a 6 week therapeutic course based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The course is practical and experiential, and is designed to help you develop specific psychological skills to help you live a full and meaningful life, whilst also learning how to change the relationship you have with the inevitable psychological pain and anxiety that comes with being human.
