About Luke:
I am a person-centred therapist, and ensure I regularly check in with my clients to ensure we are focused on what they perceive to be the most important issues in their life. I have a keen interest in positive psychology, which explores the science of happiness, and through counselling, I assist my clients by guiding them on the journey to realising their wellbeing potential.
I see a range of types of clients (e.g. adults, children/adolescents, couples, elite athletes), and often integrate positive psychology principles with other established treatment methods to help my clients recover, grow and develop. Other established treatment methods I often use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Behavioural Activation, and Motivational Interviewing.
I also have a keen interest in Mindfulness, and offer mindfulness based coaching and counselling. I practice what I preach, and have a daily mindfulness practice, and regularly use ACT principles throughout my day-to-day life, and especially within the therapeutic relationship.
