About Jessica:

I am a client centred therapist who likes to take a relational approach in my work highlighting the importance of rapport and trust between client and therapist. I am passionate about helping others and I like to take a very integrative approach ensuring I tailor the therapy and support to the needs of the client.

Within my experience I have worked with clients of different age groups across the lifespan, who have varied in their cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and presentations. I have worked with individuals and couples with an array of mental health problems including perfectionism and self-esteem issues, relationship and interpersonal difficulties, specific phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, anxiety disorders and emotional dysregulation. I have worked with interpreters to deliver assessment and treatment for those patients whereby English is not their first language. I have also worked with patients experiencing adjustment distress because of becoming refugees or experiencing grief and loss. I have also worked with clients with Autism and special needs.

My main clinical modalities include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), elements of Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) such as distress tolerance techniques, mindfulness and third wave approaches.
